Sonoma, Calif.(Aug. 23, 2006) – Ron Fellows and Randy Ruhlman are slated to drive the #40 Preformed Line Products Pontiac Riley in this weekend's Daytona Prototype race at Infineon Raceway. The Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve Sonoma 250 gets underway on Saturday, August 26th at 3 p.m. PT.
Both Fellows and Ruhlman have plenty of experience on the road course at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Randy Ruhlman began his driving career here and has extensive experience and numerous sedan victories at Infineon Raceway.
The 100-lap race Rolex Sports Car Series race will feature 25 Daytona Prototype cars and 14 GT cars on 2.52-mile road course. With just two races left, this Saturday's Round Thirteen at Infineon Raceway marks the final push of the 2006 Grand American Road Racing season. The season concludes with next weekend's nine-hour finale at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Ruhlman will be paired up with his co-driver from Watkins Glen, Paul Dallenbach, and Canadian sedan and Formula car Champion Kenny Wilden. That race begins at noon on Saturday, September 2nd and will be broadcast LIVE on SPEED.
